Another almost-done Chelsea transfer risks collapse after Petr Cech leaves

The sudden removal of all of Chelsea’s top transfer bods has seriously affected the deals the club was working on, across the world.

It seems that Marina Granovskaia’s departure has blown up all the hard work done on the Jules Kounde deal, as the new owners prefer Matthijs de Ligt, and Petr Cech’s ousting has seemingly done in another deal that looked to be done.

Cech did great work spotting Edouard Mendy, and his next contribution to the goalkeeping department was likely to be Gabriel Slonina of Chicago Fire.

A deal looked to be in place, but according to Fabrizio Romano, the American club fear that the deal will “collapse again” without Cech in place.

Slonina, who is in the middle of his season with the Fire, will have to hope the American ownership at Chelsea are keen to get another stars and stripes waver in to the club to join them.
