Chelsea have reportedly opened talks with the representatives of Wolfsburg defender Maxence Lacroix. The 21-year-old centre-back has been a huge presence at the back this season for Oliver Glasner’s side, who have already secured Champions League football for next season.
Lacroix only arrived at Wolfsburg last year from Sochaux and already looks like one of the best defensive prospects in Europe. The Bundesliga has now become a hotbed of talent when young French defenders are concerned with Dayot Upamecano and Ibrahima Konate also set for big moves to Bayern Munich and Liverpool respectively.
Chelsea are looking to add another centre-back to their ranks this summer in place of Fikayo Tomori.
