“In the building” – Thomas Tuchel makes one request to pending new Chelsea owners

Chelsea bidders have been meeting with club officials and Raine Group this week to make one final pitch ahead of the final decision being revealed.

It’s a process that has taken some time and deep down Blues fans must realise this is only a good thing. It means that Roman Abramovich, Bruce Buck, and Marina Granovskaia are making sure that they get the decision absolutely spot on for the future of the club and in order to see Chelsea continue to be a success.

Thomas Tuchel, and his assistant Zsolt Low, have this week been telling those around Declan Rice that they are both ‘massive fans’ of the midfielder.

Thomas Tuchel has made his feelings clear what he wants at the club under new owners, and that is for things in the building at least, to pretty much stay the same. You can safely say that from his latest words, as reported by The Daily Telegraph, are pointing towards the fact he wants to keep his close relationship with Petr Cech and Marina Granovskaia going.

“As you know, I was so happy with the structure that the club provides and the mentality Chelsea provides,” said Tuchel. “That was, for me, always the foundation to strongly believe and genuinely believe ‘OK, we will push and keep on pushing’.

“With this now being questioned it’s getting more demanding, not difficult because I don’t know what’s coming so let’s see. But the key thing for me is that we keep the mentality in the building at least and in the club, the competitive mentality that was installed over more than a decade. It’s a bit concerning and, hopefully, we can find our way through it.”
