Levi Colwill ‘does not want to leave’ Chelsea but is looking for ‘assurances’

There is a major defender situation brewing at Chelsea right now, and the club and Thomas Tuchel, as well as some players, have some big decisions to make over the next few weeks.

Tuchel wants to add quality to his back line and replace the departed/departing defenders this summer.

There is talk of a number of potential arrivals including Kalidou Koulibaly, Nathan Ake, and Presnel Kimpembe. However, there is one player already in the squad who is hoping for a shot as well, and that is Levi Colwill.

According to Si & Dan Talk Chelsea, Colwill does not want to leave Chelsea this summer. But he is seeing some game time reassurances. He does not expect to be an instant regular starter though, but he wants a fair shot.

His future depends on centre back arrivals, but he wants to stay, and Chelsea know how important he is for the future. It’s a tense situation that needs resolving.
