Mount joins elite 5 Premier League players this season with superb stat

Mason Mount has scored early tonight at Elland Road against Leeds with a special strike, right footed and first time from the edge of the box.

That takes him to 11 goals and 9 assists for the season in the Premier League alone.

As Sky Sports pointed out on their “statto” account, that puts him in pretty esteemed company for the season.

Mo Salah, Heung-Min Son, Cristian Ronaldo, Harry Kane. Ever heard of them?

Oh, plus Jarrod Bowen, who isn’t such a big name but is one of the players of the season outside the top 4.

Mount has had some poor spells this season, but the numbers speak for themselves – he is truly among the league’s elite now, and can still get better from here, especially when the whole team raises their level.
