Football expert and commentator, Phil Kitromilides, has provided the real reason why Frankie de Jong has yet to join Manchester United.
The deal to sign the 25-year-old from Barcelona has lasted since May.
It is understood a deal is agreed with Barcelona and two of the club’s top Chiefs have been in Spain to get the transfer done, but instead, there has been delay after delay.
But De Jong does not want to join the Red Devils and has yet to sanction the deal despite the club wanting him to leave.
United is said to have agreed to pay Barcelona 75 million euros ($75 million) plus another potential 10 million euros in variables for the 25-year-old De Jong.
“Frenkie de Jong does not want to join Manchester United,” Kitromilides told talkSPORT.
“That is what is holding up this deal, it is not the deferred wages.
“De Jong’s already at his dream club and living in his dream city.”
