The time when Conor Gallagher bumped into Thomas Tuchel at the pub

Conor Gallagher has confirmed that he will be staying in the Chelsea squad for the foreseeable future after conversations with Thomas Tuchel at the end of last season.

The England international is currently out with the team in America on their pre-season tour, and he will be out there hoping to further impress the boss ahead of the pending new season.

Sources: Levi Colwill does NOT want to leave Chelsea.

He has recently revealed that after a phone call with Tuchel, that they both agreed that he will be in the first team squad this season and be given a shot with Chelsea, which is music to my ears to be honest.

Gallagher bumped into Tuchel in a pub in April during a night out with his girlfriend and parents, as per The Telegraph.

It was in this meeting that Tuchel apologised to Gallagher for not granting a request for him to play against his parent club for Palace in last season’s FA Cup semi-final.

Gallagher said of the meeting: “I was trying to hide! It was funny because I saw him through the window and whispered to my girlfriend, mum and dad ‘God, it’s Thomas Tuchel walking in’. He walked in and sat on the table right next to us, so he couldn’t miss me.”
