Todd Boehly has privately called Tuchel an “amazing” manager and looks likely to back him with transfer money this summer

Thomas Tuchel’s press conferences have started looking forward to the summer recently, as the current season peters out, and his focus has been on emphasising that this squad needs serious work.

There’s a new owner coming to town, and just in time. Several key first team players are set to leave, and others are deep into their 30s. It’s time to mix things up, and there are big questions for new owner Todd Boehly about whether he will back Tuchel right away.

The Evening Standard have an interesting article on the subject today which points out that Boehly has privately considered Tuchel an “amazing” manager.

That bodes well – most Chelsea fans agree and there’s nobody we would like to see backed to rebuild the squad in his image more than the German coach.

If Boehly wants to arrive and make an impact at the club, this is a great chance to endear himself to the fans.
